"The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in diet, and in the cause and prevention of disease."

-Thomas Edison, Inventor

Which type of patient are you?

Generally, patients fall into three groups when presenting for care at our office.

1. Acute pain- those recently injured

2. Subacute/Chronic pain- episodes of pain from a recurring or old injury

3. Wellness care-  those looking to live a healthier life.

We will provide expert care to help bring you back to the highest functional level possible.

Tips for your wellness

  • Sit up straight.
Develop the habit of good posture; it makes a world of difference in the way your back feels.

  • Turn off the TV and exercise.
Get up and move. Go for a walk. Add exercise to your regular routine. When you have to sit for long periods, stretch regularly. Active people are healthier, smarter and happier.

  • Put that down.
Don't lift things that are too heavy for you. If you have to, you know what they say-lift with your legs, not your back. Don't carry around a backpack stuffed full of books, especially not on one shoulder, or a heavy bag if you can avoid it. The key is to minimize - only take what you really need.

  • Go to sleep.
Sleep is essential for your wellbeing. Don't sleep on your stomach, which can strain the muscles in your neck and back. Practice sleeping on your side or back.

  • Drink more water.
The rule of thumb is to cut your weight in half and that is how many ounces of water per day you should drink.

  • Keep the weight off.
Those extra pounds are hard on your spine and your organs.

What to Expect During Your Visit

  • Expert Assessment and Diagnosis — Your Doctor will perform a thorough clinical assessment to evaluate your condition and determine the root cause of the pain/injury. Functional testing will be performed at every visit to show demonstrable improvement following treatment.

  • Manual Therapy —Soft tissue and joint mobilizations will be delivered through a hands-on approach (manual therapy), using skilled manual/physical medicine to effect changes in the soft tissues (including muscles, connective tissue as well as fascial tissue, and joint structures) with the purpose of improving function and range of motion.

  • Active Care Program — When appropriate, a customized program of stretches and exercises will be prescribed to help speed recovery and prevent future injuries, with additional instruction provided for home self-care.

  • Patient Education — Your provider will educate you on your diagnosis and treatment options, clearly communicating reasonable expectations for the resolution of your injury, measurable progress made during each visit, and your timeline for return to work or normal activity.

  • Outcome Measurement — Our providers are required to obtain outcome measurements during every patient visit. Patient feedback is essential to ensuring our outcome-based care is both effective and efficient. Treatment planning is prescribed solely on an outcome basis, not by benefit design or allowable visits..
